Operating Model
Black communities are not a monolith. Our model respects language, migration history, faith, culture, age, disability, sexuality, and local systems of care while creating a shared global standard for culturally affirming mental health access.
Use community listening, research, and partner insight to understand what Black communities need in each region.
Connect people to culturally affirming care, literacy tools, faith and community supports, and virtual resources.
Train providers, advise institutions, convene leaders, and advocate for policies that remove structural barriers.
Why Equity Matters
Mental health need is rising worldwide, yet access to effective, culturally safe care remains uneven. Black communities often face overlapping barriers including cost, stigma, anti-Black racism, provider shortages, mistrust caused by harmful systems, and care that does not reflect lived experience.
